Tah Groen

Founder of Breath to Success

Tah Groen has been involved with Yoga most of her life. She started practicing as a teenager. Inspired by a mentor to join a class at 16 sparked the yoga fire which has been burning ever since. After launching a sportswear line with her then husband in the late 80′s and becoming a mother of two daughters, it was time for a healing change. Trusting in the age old adage, “Do what you love”, was the consistent echo in her mind. A pivotal time of transition, a powerful awakening as she realized the path that called her.

Do what you love clearly meant that she become a teacher. 

In 1996 working simultaneously within the health food industry as a reliable source for nutritional council and support, Tah’s yoga business grew. She was able to open one of the first yoga studios in La Jolla. Shakti Yoga was born. After enjoying this prime location for a handful of years she realized the benefit of being a mobile instructor. This was the next logical step for her since the established client base was corporate and private. 

Tah lives in San Diego with her partner of 16 years; and besides her two daughters who are in their 20s, has a rambunctious 6 year old son, who instead of a dog to follow him around has a loyal Bengal cat named Jagger.  

As a yoga teacher she has developed a nurturing hands-on approach, a comfortable style, rich with verbal cues regarding alignment of body, mind and spirit.

Her Vinyasa flow class is a perfect place for the beginner or advanced student. With Tah’s emphasis on the details of asana, using body awareness, breath flow, and a soft nurturing and compassionate tone, yoga becomes an essential element to lighten and gladden your spirit. Her attention is on the breath as the core of a transformative yoga practice. She states: “The inhale breath, vital to allowing the life force (Prana) in, and the exhale breath (Apana), both open pathways of allowing resistance to leave the body. The inhale and exhale of breath are instrumental in maintaining a balanced yoga practice. A natural softening occurs with deep breathe to establish a solid foundation rooted in the body. A key component that facilitates healing on all levels. As in letting go of old, outdated patterns that no longer serve the higher self. Through intimate exploration of each pose as it transitions into the next, we find that each inhale and exhale reveals our true self hidden behind stagnant layers of resistance.”

Arati Lane

Arati Lane, originally from northern Germany started practicing Yoga in 1989 in N.Y.C. She travelled to New York City as a deep seeker ready to explore life and herself. Her original calling was to study acting in the big city but soon realized she was being pulled strongly to Yoga.  She knew she was in the perfect place as her personal practice developed at the hands of Jivamukti Yoga Center teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life.   Arati's teaching career started with a strong Asana practice including chanting and meditation as well as the study of traditional yogic texts. In the end she left New York State as a 500 hour certified yoga teacher completing her training at Sivananda Yoga Ranch in upstate N.Y.

Traveling to Canada Arati had the opportunity to teach yoga to Children. Enjoying her new role as mentor and Counselor to young vibrant children at the Yoga Camp in Val Moraine, Quebec.

Seeking more knowledge and adventure Arati left for India to study Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore with Pathabis Jois.  She stayed for 2 years traveling throughout India to study with multiple yoga masters and attending different schools, including; The Osho Ashram in Pune, traditional Yoga Schools in Rishikesh, ISCON in Vrindhavan for Bhakti Yoga Studies, as well as with various Yogi Masters along the banks of Ganga.

Finding her home base, Arati moved to San Diego and has been teaching Flow, Hatha, healthy backs, pre- and postnatal Yoga, Yoga for Kids since 1997 in various Yoga centers and hospitals.

In 2006 Arati suffered a back injury from a car crash healing herself with therapeutic Yoga and the Yoga wall system.  Her studies in Yoga therapeutics with Racheal Kratzman, at Embody Yoga was a significant part of her healing process; she is completely pain free and maintains a high degree of flexibility.

In 2007 she began studying Ayurveda, as a way to relieve her son’s asthma. Arati is a certified Yoga and Ayurveda Wellness Counselor through Yoga Retreat in the Bahamas.  Her son is now 15 and is completly symptom free. 

Arati currently conducts workshops available through local doctors’ offices and studios in the San Diego are. She is available for private consultations to fit your personal needs. 

Arati regularly visits Ashrams around the world and continues her education.  She practices Iyengar yoga weekly and loves being a mother to her teenage son, spending time outdoors, playing in the ocean. She co-teaches workshops with her husband, volunteer’s time for Kids and is currently developing a program for a teens only summer yoga camp.

Sarah Tomlinson

 

Her expertise surrounds Yantra (coloring as Meditation) and Mantras (Seed Sounds), both of these Yoga techniques are creative ways for us to connect on a Tantric level; to channel divine energy. Sarah has mastered the art of holding space for her students, to encourage a playful attitude, lightly moving artistic expression into a deep and intimate exploration of self. Leaving her workshop with your own original master piece of meditation is a gift.

 – Sarah is an author, artist, yogini, doula and mother. She is author of Nine Designs for Inner Peace: The Ultimate Guide to Meditating with Color, Shape and Sound. Her Yantra art is collected worldwide. After becoming certified in the Jivamukti Yoga Method by David Life and Sharon Gannon she embarked to India where she worked extensively with her mentor and teacher Harish Johari who initiated her to the spiritual practice of painting Yantras. She has led countless trainings, classes and workshops in this practice.

Hemalayaa Behl

 

Hemalayaa, for 20 years, has been leading, guiding and facilitating lasting transformational experiences. She started with Bollywood Dance fitness DVD’s and teaching yoga. Then went on to travel the world, for 13 years leading at festivals such as Wanderlust Festival, and Yoga Journal LIVE.

She says, "And, I learned how to keep returning home to myself, my truth, no matter where I was, and how many breakdowns occurred. I learned how to be ready for change, and then progress in my life with full self-acceptance and radiate beauty and joy through it all. I traveled, learned, mentored, and lead with confidence. Through it, I always saw yoga, not as a physical practice alone, I saw it more distinctively, I saw it as a transformational path to living (more than) an extraordinary life."

Hemalayaa found the Enlightened Woman Lifestyle path. She has coached New York Times Best selling Authors and up-an-comer conscious leaders.

Her teachings and guidance takes women to a whole new level of expansion and awareness.

Victoria Danzig 

 

LCSW, has been in private practice in La Jolla since 1985 and works extensively with clients using new transformational methods for healing. She has presented workshops on our relationship with money for the San Diego Women’s Foundation, Shakti Rising, Bishops School, San Diego Foundation for Change, and at the Women and Wealth Conference. She has been training therapists in various methods of Energy Psychology since 1998 and holds a Diplomat in Comprehensive Energy Psychology.

James Beard

 

Breathwork is a phenomenally, mind-altering, aerobic exercise designed to help you understand yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually live a healthier, more joyful life.

James has been actively exploring the breath since 1985 which has led him into the world of holistic arts and yoga. Over the years, his intention has not only been to help heal but to guide and empower people to heal themselves. His practice of Breathwork, yoga and masssage has evolved with inner gifts and inspiration of several influential master teachers building a strong foundation of experience. James integrates the natural organic movements of the body with the breath in his sessions and yoga classes to support students so that they may gain a greater understanding of the deeper levels of self. 

His healing, massage and yoga classes have a segment exclusively dedicated to Breathwork, because he believes breathing exercises promote exploration of the spontaneous and subtle changes that come from within. This practice inspires people to control their state of being by consciously controlling the patterns of their breath. James enjoys encouraging students to be open as the healing path unfolds. He focuses strongly on breath in his classes, incorporating the individual needs of each person in an effort to cultivate an environment that is welcoming and free.

Doron Geber

 

Doron is an international speaker and executive coach who has created his own niche of coaching called Breakthrough Coaching – A style of coaching with which he helps people breakthrough unconscious blockages and patterns. Doron’s primary modality is Shadow Guidance, where he guides people through the dark shadows of the unconscious mind uncovering forgotten and repressed negative beliefs about the self, formed before the age of 12. This results in radical shifts and changes particularly in the areas of personal income, intimate relationships and chronic health issues.
